There is a growing trend these days, with a lot of companies who decide to outsource their support IT. They came to the realization that there is a great benefit to the company to outsource their IT support and have a range of IT professionals at their service, rather than employing a small number of IT staff to assist internally, usually at a much higher cost.

Choosing a Managed Service Provider (MSP) in addressing more day-to-day and angles out of computer systems is not a decision to be taken lightly. They are literally responsible for your business up-time, so you want to make sure that you are using a reputable company as well as getting the most from your IT support.

Several MSPs offer different services to their clients. Some offer 'block hours', where you pre-purchase a certain number of hours, as is called for IT Support, work is deducted from the block. When it comes time for a major project to be realized, maybe you're planning to upgrade all systems because they are aging, you do not want to be paying for a project manager to reach up all the work.

If you're using the cloud, perhaps by email (Office 365), this could be included in the monthly support fee. Most managed service providers can provide you could get the monthly fee for added user in your monthly IT budget with Office 365 licenses and while you are in negotiation of contracts. Assuming that the budget is based on the number of users in your company, it would be appropriate to have this legacy as well. You may find that you will get a cheaper price than paying for separately and you will also get the added benefit of support from that particular MSP. Microsoft releases updates on a monthly basis and this means that you will have lots of workstations and servers that require updates as well. Perhaps the regular maintenance of the system can also be included in the monthly support costs. If you do not want to use the services of a managed service provider for support, and then realize that you are paying extra for 'out of reach' work.

When you looking for a Managed Service Provider to: outsource their IT support services, you want to be comfortable with them. You want the technician to be friendly team, you want your managers to be technical enough so that they know what they're talking about and you want to feel the support team is an extension of your office. Bundling services together so that everything is under the bill makes sense and if you are able to find an IT provider who is willing to do this, you will definitely be on your way to getting the most from your IT support.
